A Tribute to Shelagh Delaney With introduction from MP Hazel Blears

Closing event in celebration of the inaugural Shelagh Delaney Day 2014

Join us for a celebration of Shelagh’s life and work with a special showing of this 1960’s classic film directed by Tony Richardson and starring Rita Tushingham, Dora Bryan and Murray Melvin. Local MP Hazel Blears appeared in the film when she was 8 years old. Hazel gives a short introduction on how she came to appear in that scene.

 

A Special Raffle will be run at this event. Prizes include a dvd of the film, two hardback scripts and jars of Salford Honey produced by the Honey Plot at Weaste Allotment and Gardening Association collected by good Salford bees. ‪
