Months in the planning, Tuesday 25th November will be a day of celebration in honour of one of the greatest ever female playwrights.
Shelagh Delaney would of been 76 years old on this very day.
Salford Arts Theatre is the very proud host venue of the first ever Shelagh Delaney Day.
This strictly ticket only SOLD OUT event has something for everyone whether you love Art, Poetry , Theatre or FIlm.
5pm- Doors open:
Art Exhibiton take a look at an array of art submitted in tribute to Shelagh Delaney and the city which inspired much of her work.
6:30pm - Theatre, A Slice Of Life
6:55pm - JB Barrington, the incredible Salford born and raised performance poet, and 2014 MCR Fringe festival winner performs his exclusive poem penned in tribute to Shelagh Delaney.
7:10pm - Theatre, Then and Now : Never performed before short play , written by Shelagh Delaney
8pm - BAFTA Award Winning Film Screening of Dance With A Stranger - The Ruth Ellis Story (Screenplay by Shelagh Delaney)
